How can we help?
The idea of the event: Since women make 80 percent of the health decisions for American families, let’s spoil them a little more often and support them in that role. The decisions they make and the skills they have very well may save your life, if they haven’t already.
On May 8th, we celebrated Mother’s Day. But what’s next? Do you have anything else lined up to show your appreciation?
If not, here’s an idea. Mark June 3 from 6 – 9 p.m. on your calendar and plan to give all women — wives, moms, daughters, girlfriends, neighbors and sisters — the night off from their usual Friday night activities and send them up to Alta View Hospital’s 4th annual Ladies Night Out to learn how to improve their own health and the health of everyone they love.
“Ladies Night Out is intended to be a care-free night for women to come and have a good time while learning about health and wellness,” said Jill Teuscher, RN, nurse manager in Labor & Delivery at Alta View Hospital. “This is our fourth straight year hosting this event, and it’s something women in the community look forward to. We want women to have a fun, relaxing time, and be more empowered to help themselves and their families live the healthiest lives possible.”
Check out all kinds of fun activities. The night will offer plenty of fun options and food for women of all ages, including:
Talk to a medical expert: Ladies Night Out features more than two-dozen health experts who can offer opinions and advice on everything from allergies and exercise to sleep problems and varicose veins. Options include the following:
20-minute Community Classes:
Admission is FREE. Participants can pre-register at altaviewhospital.org/LadiesNightOut for the event (although you can also show up without registering). If you have questions, please contact Kris Beldin at 801-501-2795 or kris.beldin@imail.org.
Alta View Hospital is hosting “Ladies Night Out” on Friday, June 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alta View Specialty Center (9450 South 1300 East) in Sandy. The evening offers pampering, good food, and one-on-one access to medical experts who can answer questions and give advice about living a healthier life.
