Family 5K and Diaper Derby to benefit Primary Children’s Services at Riverton Hospital

The fastest crawler will win a year’s supply of diapers. Proceeds from the race will benefit Primary Children’s Services at Riverton Hospital, which include an inpatient unit, outpatient surgery, a clinic with 29 pediatric specialties and rehabilitation therapy.

 

The 5K race begins at 8 am on the south side of the hospital. Pricing is:

  • $15 for singles
  • $25 for couples
  • $60 for a family or group of six

 

The diaper derby begins at 9 am on the south side of the hospital.

  • Registration is $10 per baby.
  • Babies must be at least six months old and not be able to walk.
  • Babies must have an adult with them at all times.

 

The Family 5K is a casual, family-friendly local race that encourages families to get out and exercise together. Strollers and bikes are welcome.

 

Participants must register by 5 p.m. on June 9.

 

All participants who register before the registration date will receive chip timing, a race t-shirt and finisher's medal. Registration won't be allowed the day of the race.  Light breakfast and awards ceremony afterwards on the patio for best overall and age division winners.

 

In addition, Riverton City will show a free outdoor family movie, Storks on Friday evening, June 9, at approximately 9 pm on the west lawn of Riverton Hospital, near building 3. Free popcorn will be served.

 

Riverton Hospital will add a diaper derby to this year's annual Family 5K Race on June 10, 2017.
