New Administrator Named at Intermountain Bear River Valley Hospital

Vonk has had a long and impressive career as a clinical leader at Intermountain. Prior to his role as the nursing administrator at Alta View Hospital, Vonk was the nursing administrator at LDS Hospital. Prior to that, Vonk was a nursing director at Intermountain Medical Center.

Vonk has also held positions at American Fork Hospital and Dixie Regional Medical Center. In his role at Alta View Hospital, Vonk has been instrumental in preparing Alta View for the opening of its new facility in a few months. Among his accomplishments are helping LDS Hospital attain a CMS 5-star rating, implementing programs to improve nurse and physician communication, and implementing numerous protocols to improve patient safety.

Vonk received his nursing degree at the University of North Florida and earned an MBA at the University of Phoenix.
