Public Invited to View the Future of Healthcare at New Alta View Hospital Campus

WHAT:
After more than three years of construction, Intermountain Healthcare’s Alta View Hospital $140 million campus renovation and expansion project, the largest healthcare construction project in the Salt Lake Valley, is ready to open to the community.

Hospital patients from the past, present, and future will join with caregivers, community leaders, and others in a unique ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration on Wednesday to officially unveil the new 146,000+ square feet expansion, which includes a new state-of-the-art four-story patient tower.

The campus expansion and renovation – which includes the new patient tower and a major new clinic – was needed to help Alta View Hospital in Sandy keep up with the healthcare demands from fast-growing communities in the southeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley.

Hospital planners combined and expanded medical services to better serve patients with improvements in state-of-the-art technology, patient flow, and enhanced patient rooms with lots of natural light.

**News media are invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the new campus and patient tower.

A free community open house will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon.
