Mike Cotton Resigns as President and CEO of SelectHealth

Mike Cotton has resigned as president and CEO of SelectHealth, which offers health insurance in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada, and is part of Intermountain Healthcare.

Cotton, who joined SelectHealth in 2020, said he made this difficult decision due to family reasons. He will be relocating to Atlanta, Georgia to care for his family there.

“Mike and I have discussed various options to support him through this, such as working from Georgia, but he is clear that he needs to be fully focused on family rather than dividing his time,” said Marc Harrison, MD, president and CEO of Intermountain Healthcare. “Family health and values are foundational to Intermountain, just as they are to Mike and his family, and we understand and fully support his decision.”

Cotton’s resignation is effective January 25, 2021. Bob White, SelectHealth’s current chief operating officer, will serve as interim president and CEO while a search is conducted for a successor.
