Excellent BC/BE Electrophysiologist Opportunity

The Intermountain Heart Institute which is part of the Intermountain Healthcare system provides nationally and internationally recognized cardiovascular care and healthcare system throughout Utah with a referral base of all the surrounding states. This well-recognized health care organization which provides high volume, complex, and reputable care is seeking a new Electrophysiologist due to significant growth of city and surrounding communities, the electrophysiology practice, and the retirement of senior physician at Dixie Regional Medical Center.

Dixie Regional Medical Center:

We are a well-established, collegial, and dedicated group of 8 cardiologists including 2 electrophysiologists. There are two committed electrophysiology laboratories to allow complex ablations. The electrophysiologists are supported by 3 invasive/noninvasive specialists, 4 interventional cardiologists, one of whom is also our advanced structural heart disease specialist, 3 cardiovascular surgeons, and 6 APC’s. 

  • Recent upgrades to the EP Lab have the capability to perform EP procedures at an extremely low radiation dose or no fluoroscopy
  • Some of the position resources include:
    • We utilize Biosense Webster and St. Jude Medical mapping systems
    • We utilize Arctic Front Cryoablation as an alternative energy source for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
    • A developing left atrial appendage occlusion program
    • High volume of implantable devices with an established implantable device clinic of -- patients
    • An opportunity for clinical research in electrophysiology trials with Intermountain Medical Center and up to a 20% time commitment for research or administrative interests
    • Systemwide collaboration in an integrated electrophysiology team
  • Electrophysiology call only in a highly supported group environment which includes a fully accredited noninvasive department: echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular imaging, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI.
  • Our physicians perform 2,500 heart catheterizations, 1,200 coronary interventions, 100 + transcatheter valves, and 450 electrophysiology procedures each year.
