Personal Bio & Interests
Dr. Evans grew up in Centerville, Utah. He graduated from BYU with a B.S. in Biology and Business Management before obtaining his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. During medical school in Texas, he did a clinical research sabbatical at the MD Anderson Cancer Center where he discovered the exciting field of radiation oncology and his passion of caring for cancer patients. After medical school, he completed a Transitional Internship at Intermountain Medical Center before moving to Rochester, Minnesota where he completed his radiation oncology training at the Mayo Clinic. Research and patient education are critical components of Dr. Evans' practice. He is an Assistant Professor in the Clinician Investigator Track, and currently serves as the Director of Radiation Immunology and Precision Radiotherapy for Intermountain - a collaborative research program aimed at improving cancer outcomes. Dr. Evans enjoys spending time with his wife, Emma, and their four children. He enjoys hiking, boating, sports, music, learning about investments and spending time with his loved ones.
