The adult team consists of highly skilled nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and physicians experienced in the care and treatment of critically ill and injured patients. Our adult team works on scene flights, search and rescue missions, and interfacility transports. The adult team also has the capability of transporting patients already relying on an Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump for cardiac support. These nurses have experience in cardiac and thoracic intensive care.

Life Flight is proud to provide our patients and referring physicians with a medical control physician on each and every transport we do. Life Flight has control physicians available 24/7 for all ages of patients. They are experts in their field and have also been trained on the capabilities of Life Flight's equipment, aircraft, and teams.

Life Flight's control physicians are staff members at our base hospitals: LDS Hospital, Primary Children's Medical Center, McKay-Dee Hospital Center, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and Dixie Regional Medical Center. This unique capability allows patients to remain under the care of a highly qualified transport team working under the direction of a physician until arrival at the receiving facility instead of "standing orders" that many services operate with.
