Botox

Botox is a safe, reliable way to relax muscles that cause wrinkles in the face.  Botox relaxes lines in the face and prevents them from worsening.  It can also raise and shape the eyebrows and lift the upper eyelids.  Common areas treated are the forehead, glabella (inner eyebrows or scowl lines), crow's feet, lip lines, and neck bands.  When properly applied, Botox treatment allows for natural appearing facial expression without the wrinkles.  Results typically last for three to four months.

Botox is very effective for migraine treatment.  Trigger areas are identified and injected with Botox which can give two to three months without a migraine.  This is bliss for someone who suffers from migraines.

Botox is also used for hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating.  It can be injected in the armpits, hands or feet.

Dr. Isom personally performs all Botox injections in a comfortable, relaxing environment.

Fillers (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Fat Grafting)

Fillers are used to fill wrinkles or creases that persist despite muscles being relaxed.  They are commonly used to fill the nasolabial folds, tear troughs (lines under the eyes), marionette lines (frown lines), and scowl lines.  Most fillers are temporary lasting from six months to well over a year.  Fat grafting is more permanent, but also more invasive.  Dr. Isom will discuss which options would work best for you.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a powerful way to erase deeper wrinkles and treat sun damaged skin.  It essentially causes a burn to outer layers of skin which are replaced with new healthy skin.  The skin is also tightened.  After a chemical peel, you need at least two weeks to recover and allow the skin to heal before being presentable.  The results are well worth the downtime.

Laser

Laser therapy is a great tool for treating pigmented skin lesions, vascular lesions, and removing unwanted body hair or tattoos.  We work with Jeanna Bohm who is a licensed laser technician and owner of Beleza Laser Aesthetics located in our office.  She is also a skin care specialist who distributes Obagi skin care products.
