Personal Bio & Interests

I am a physical therapist who has been employed at Intermountain Health for the past 17 years working in industrial, orthopedic, and sports medicine settings. In 2012, I became board certified by The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a clinical specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Sports Physical Therapy in 2015. With a personal interest in golf, I recently became a level 1 certified Titleist Performance Institute practitioner. I also have certifications in the performance of functional capacity evaluations. I have received post graduate training in manual therapy techniques of the spine, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and trigger point dry needling. For 5 years I traveled with and treated the US Freestyle Ski Team, working closely with physicians, coaches, and athletes. More recently, I have presented research nationally at the American Physical Therapy Association's combined sections meeting in Chicago, San Diego, and Orlando. I have published research in the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Practice regarding the health and wellness of fire fighters. As a clinician, I am fully committed to providing patients with the most current, evidence based, cost effective treatment approaches to help them achieve the greatest outcomesI was born and raised in Logan, Utah and attended Utah State University where I received my bachelor's degree in physical education. After graduation from USU, I was accepted into Creighton University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in Omaha, Nebraska. Following my intense education, I returned to Utah to begin my practice. I currently live in Layton, Utah and am married to my talented and beautiful wife Trisha. We have four beautiful, active children that occupy most of our time. In any free time, I enjoy boating, golfing, and spending time with family.
