Neck Pain
Intermountain Physical therapists have received specialized training to reduce your neck pain in fewer visits saving you time and money. Most patients can avoid expensive and risky surgery with our treatment.
- Exercise is our specialty. We target the specific areas of your neck and upper back that need to be strengthened or stretched. We will also give you exercises to do at home.
- Manipulation is a treatment we offer. Not everyone needs a manipulation. We only perform it on the patient that needs it and we don't keep doing it if it is not helpful.
- Traction is helpful for a small percent of patients with low back pain. Our clinics have traction tables and therapists who can identify those who will benefit from traction.
- Prevention of future neck and back pain is priority of our treatment. As high as 80% of all patients who have back pain once will have it again. This can be reduced when the patient receives the proper education, exercise and makes appropriate lifestyle changes.
