Practice Focus
My specialty is in non-operative musculoskeletal medicine. I treat bone, joint, muscle, tendon and ligament injuries in patients of all ages through non-surgical methods. My goal is to get active folks back out being active as quickly and safely as possible. I also strongly believe in assessing the root cause of injuries, particularly overuse injuries, instead of just providing "band-aid" treatments that may work in the short-term but may land you back in our office before too long. To this end I employ gait analysis and functional testing for the evaluation of muscle imbalances. If these are properly identified and corrected it will keep you out on the roads and trails. I have particular interest in treating injuries related to endurance sports, especially running and cycling.
Personal Bio & Interests
I was born and raised in New England. I found my way to the Rocky Mountains of Utah via residency in Ogden. Once in Utah, I fell in love with my wife, Paige, and have since spent my time trying to keep up with her. We both enjoy the active outdoor lifestyle available in this great state, including running, biking, triathlon, and skiing. We also enjoy spending time with our daughters, Emersyn, Leila, and Eliza, and are looking forward to taking them along with us on our adventures. I have competed in LOTOJA with a sub-10 hour finish, as well as earning a belt buckle at the Leadville 100 mountain bike race. I have completed a marathon and raced in several sprint and Olympic distance triathlons. I am a huge proponent of the healing and preventive health benefits of being physically active, and relish in the opportunity to help my patients initiate and maintain an active lifestyle.
