The Route

From the parking area, begin walking or riding north toward the Legacy Parkway Trail. Turn right onto the Legacy Parkway Trail and continue 200 feet to the junction with the Prospector Rail Trail on the right. The Legacy Parkway Trail continues north through an underpass. Take the hard right turn onto the Prospector Rail Trail and begin heading south.

Keep walking or riding as the trail passes by some homes and businesses before reaching Porter Lane and the first of two street crossings that you will encounter along the way. Check for traffic before carefully crossing the street and continuing south on the trail. Keep moving as the trail passes by farms and open space.

After roughly one half mile, a 4-way trail junction is encountered. The intersecting trail follows along a canal and eventually connects to the Legacy Parkway trail further west. This makes it possible to form a loop using the three trails. But for the route described here, keep heading south on the Prospector Rail Trail.

One more street crossing is soon encountered at 1600 North. Check for traffic before crossing and continue on. The trail soon passes by a golf course and more open space before ending at 400 North. Turn around and return the way you came.
