Paul Krakovitz, MD

Region President for Intermountain Healthcare

Paul Krakovitz, MD, is a region president for Intermountain Healthcare based in Las Vegas. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah and is on staff at Primary Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Krakovitz oversees the growth strategy, business development, and clinical operations for Intermountain Nevada. Before his President role with Intermountain, Paul was the Vice President and CMO for Specialty-Based Care, supervising senior executives and medical directors in Intermountain’s Clinical Programs and all hospitals across Utah and Idaho. Before joining Intermountain in 2017, Dr. Krakovitz was Vice-Chair of Surgical Operations for Cleveland Clinic. He served as Section Head of Pediatric Otolaryngology in the Cleveland Clinic Head and Neck Institute, served on the Children’s Hospital Executive Committee, and was an elected member of the clinic’s Board of Governors. He also held academic appointments at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Krakovitz is serving as one of Intermountain Healthcare’s Incident Command Operations Section Chiefs. He is an elected Board Member for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) 50 and is a State of Utah Crisis Standards of Care Committee member for COVID-19.

Dr. Krakovitz is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. He did residencies in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Vermont and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and a fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. His current research focus is on improving value for specialty care. He has served on multiple committees for the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and is a past member of the Medical Education Committee for the State of Utah.
