Mission Statement
For over two decades, the Holiday Quilt Show and Auction has been a major source of funding to further the Deseret Foundation's mission.
In 1983, several women who valued the rich cultural heritage of quilt making organized the show, which has now raised funds in excess of $2.3 million. Each year, hundreds of women volunteer their time, talent, and resources to create handmade quilts for the auction.
Our mission is to promote high quality healthcare for our community by funding medical research, education, technology, equipment, facilities and limited charity care.
Our objectives are:
- To enhance the science and art of medicine
- Raise the standards of excellence in health care
- Preserve and protect public health
- Support the betterment of medical professionals in the greater Salt Lake area
By supporting this event, you will not only assist in preserving the cultural heritage of quilt making, but also in the commitment to medical excellence that has been Intermountain Health Care's guiding principle since LDS Hospital opened in 1905.

Quilt Days 2009
We have had such a great turnout for Quilt Days this past year; usually about 50 dedicated quilters come to work and have lunch on us! We appreciate all the time they donate, helping us to have so many quilts when auction time comes. Remember that everyone is welcome. If you are a new quilter, that is great.
We meet the 4th Tuesday of every month at:
The Colonial House
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
259 North and 7th Avenue
Hope to see you there!
