The Intermountain Transplant Center, located at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, is the most comprehensive thoracic and abdominal organ transplant program in the Intermountain Region. The program includes heart transplants, kidney transplants, liver transplants, and pancreas transplants. We also operate a liver failure clinic to manage those in liver failure who are either too early for transplant or not suitable for transplant.
Since performing the first organ transplant in 1983, the program has distinguished itself as a pioneering transplant program that offers outstanding outcomes and shorter wait times than the national average. Working with Intermountain Donor Services (IDS) and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), the Intermountain Transplant Center performs over 125 transplants per year.
Intermountain Transplant Center programs are UNOS designated transplant centers as well as being Medicare certified for meeting the requirements from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In addition, the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) maintains a website where you can view the waiting times and survival statistics of our transplant programs.
