The Women & Newborn Center provides a comforting setting for labor and delivery, maternal fetal medicine, maternity care, newborn intensive care, certified nurse midwifery and a private entrance to the mammography and breast care center.

From the normal childbirth experience to the highest risk births requiring the latest generation of diagnostic and treatment capabilities, the obstetrics program at the Carolyn Barnes Gardner Women & Newborn Center is one of the finest in the country.

A full range of prenatal care options is available from a wide variety of providers, including obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, family practitioners and perinatologists.

Women and Newborn Unit Visitation Guidelines for the 2012-2013 Flu Season.
  • No children under the age of fourteen except siblings. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Visitors must check in with hospital personnel prior to entering the unit.
  • All visitors should be free of signs or symptoms of infectious disease
  • All visitors need to remain in patient rooms for visiting. If waiting to see a patient, please use our lobby area outside the locked doors.
Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Due to the start of flu and RSV season we are unable to allow siblings of babies into the unit.
