Welcome to the Intermountain Bone Marrow Transplantation program at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Since the Bone Marrow Transplant Program's inception in 1978 at LDS Hospital, over 600 adult patients have received transplants for a variety of malignant and non-malignant diseases.

Bone marrow transplantation, also known as blood and marrow transplantation, has evolved over the past 20 years into a successful therapy for a variety of malignant and non-malignant diseases.

Bone marrow transplantation allows for safer use of radiation and/or combination chemotherapy to help cure many types of diseases that in the past would have not been curable.
