The Diabetes Management Clinic is the only full service clinic in Utah County devoted entirely to the treatment of all forms of diabetes and the prevention of diabetic complications. We have been on the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center campus for nearly 20 years.
The focus of our effort is best possible control of diabetes, avoidance of hypoglycemia, prevention of cardiovascular complications associated with diabetes, treatment of hypertension, treatment of elevated cholesterol and lipids, and prevention and treatment of other complications of diabetes including eye disease, kidney dysfunction, and neuropathies.
Pediatric endocrinologists from Primary Children's hold a pediatric outreach satellite clinic on three Tuesdays each month, at the Diabetes Management Clinic.
Diabetes patients can get medication assistance through the Diabetes Management Clinic at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
The Diabetes Management Clinic provides limited assistance with medical devices, including adjustments and device training.
Most people when diagnosed with diabetes never receive education about how to manage this costly and debilitating disease. Yet, diabetes is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. and it is a leading cause of adult blindness, lower-limb amputation, kidney disease and nerve damage in America.
Clinicians specializing in the care of diabetic patients are available for clinic visits. Diabetes educators assist in teaching patients and their families how to manage diabetes in their daily lives in both an inpatient and outpatient settings.
