Race For Red History
Last year, Utah Valley Regional’s Heart and Vascular Services was looking for an opportunity to reach out to the community about the need to improve our heart health. While the hospital hosts a number of health-promoting community events throughout each year, the hospital hadn’t yet begun a 5K fun run for families. That’s when the Race for Red was created. Each May, community members are invited raise awareness of heart disease by participating in this fun 5K run, walk or stroll. The event takes place in Provo, right by Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
Whether you’re a veteran runner or have never set foot in a race before, now’s your chance to get involved in improving your heart health! Participants will receive a nice athletic wickaway shirt, refreshments and drinks and have the opportunity to win one of several great prizes.
