Some babies arrive right on schedule, but others arrive too early or with special healthcare needs. Utah Valley Regional offers specialized care close to home for these infants and their families. The 39-bed, Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center practices family centered care, with the mission statement, “NICU is Home.” Parents are an integral part of the healthcare team, which includes:

  • Neonatal nurse practitioners
  • Pediatricians
  • Occupational therapists
  • Dietitians
  • Pharmacists
  • Social workers
  • Care managers
  • Specially-trained nurses and respiratory therapists

In our spacious unit, parents find comfortable rocking chairs and privacy curtains as well as beautiful views of Utah Valley. There is also a parent lounge that includes:

  • Individual lockers for each family
  • Breast pump rooms
  • Family lounge area
  • Computer access
  • Sleep rooms
  • Kitchen area
