Which providers are included in the online directory?

The online Provider Search tool lists physicians and other healthcare practitioners who meet both conditions below:

1. Completion of a formal credentialing verification process that is repeated every three years. Many, but not all, categories of healthcare practitioners are required to go through the Intermountain Healthcare credentialing process. Healthcare practitioners who are not credentialed by Intermountain Healthcare do not show up in the online provider directory.
2. Contractual participation with at least one insurance plan or network offered by SelectHealth. Some members of Intermountain Healthcare hospital medical staffs do not contract with SelectHealth and therefore are not listed in the online directory.

There are four versions of the Provider Search tool. Each is identified by the logo that appears at the top of the search page.

• Intermountain Healthcare: Shows providers that meet the criteria listed above but does not include the ability to search by SelectHealth plan.
• SelectHealth: Shows providers that meet the criteria listed above and includes the ability to search by SelectHealth plan.
• Intermountain Medical Group: This directory is limited to only those providers employed by the Intermountain Medical Group.
• Huntsman-Intermountain Cancer Care Providers: This directory is limited to providers who participate in the Huntsman-Intermountain cancer care program.

Search Page Tips

You may choose to enter any combination of search criteria or no criteria at all. The criteria on the left side of the page are the most commonly used search options. The criteria on the right side of the page can be used to further refine your search.

Once you perform your initial search, you'll be taken to the search results page where you can modify your search or start a new search.

Searching for providers by name: You do not need to know the exact spelling of the provider's name. You may enter just the first letter or first few letters of a name to find matches. If you enter at least the first three letters of a name, the search tool will start to display matching names that you can select for your search.

You may search for providers by medical specialty. If you need help knowing which specialty to search for, refer to Medical Specialty Definitions.

To find providers by their office location, you may enter a city, county or zip code. Matching cities or counties will start appearing after you enter the first three letters. You need to enter a complete zip code to find matches by zip code.

If you're using the SelectHealth version of Provider Search, you may search for providers by any insurance plan or network offered by SelectHealth.

Search by Gender to find only male or only female providers.

Search by Languages Spoken to find providers who speak other languages besides English.

Searching by Accepting New Patients limits search results to providers whose practices are open to seeing new patients. This information is self-reported and maintained by physician offices and changes frequently and without notice. It may also vary by a provider's office location and insurances.

Search by Hospital to find providers who have active or courtesy medical staff membership at hospitals owned by Intermountain Healthcare.

Search by Clinic as an alternative to searching by office address to find providers who practice at multi-specialty clinics.

You can check the box to Show Only Doctors employed by the Intermountain Medical Group.

Search Results

Once you perform your initial search, you'll be taken to the search results page where you can modify your search or start a new search.

Click on a provider's name to see more detail about the provider. Click on Map to get a map and driving directions to the provider's office. Click on Office Hours and Insurance Info to see a provider's office hours and the SelectHealth insurances accepted by the provider.
