Intermountain Healthcare rehabilitation specialists are dedicated to helping patients live the healthiest lives possible, especially following injury, disease, or surgery.  Audiologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists work with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a team approach.  This approach helps patients stay healthy and achieve optimum functional recovery following an injury, disease, or surgery.  Our rehabilitation specialists work with newborn infants, pediatric patients, and adults applying the principles of rehabilitation to prevent functional decline.

Outpatient Therapy

Our outpatient Physical Therapists diagnose, manage and treat disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system — including muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons. They have specialized training in the treatment of patients with acute sports injuries, post-orthopedic surgeries, chronic conditions, and more.

Customized Plans

Patients receive customized treatment plans designed to decrease pain and increase range of motion, strength, and function. Our audiologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists work with patients in the hospital and in outpatient settings including their home.  Care is coordinated between the professionals that work in each of these settings. The plan of care is individualized to the patient’s unique needs.
