Our services include manometry studies, which measures the muscle contractions of the digestive tract. Motility refers to the normal movement of food and liquids through the digestive tract, allowing for nutrient absorption and waste elimination. When this motility is abnormal, it can cause issues anywhere from the mouth to the anus, including difficulty swallowing, nausea, vomiting, chronic abdominal pain, bloating, or constipation. These problems may come from issues with the muscles, nerves, or tissues in the digestive tract.
