Emergency Departments (EDs, also known as Emergency Rooms or ERs)
- Visitation may be limited because of facility resources and patient treatments. More information will be made available upon arrival.
Critical Care (adult or ICU, pediatric or PICU, and neonatal or NICU)
- Visitation hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- No children under 5 years old in the NICU.
- Visitors may be required to wear a mask in the unit because of vulnerable patients. The care team will let you know.
Pediatric (Kids) Units
- Visitation hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Behavioral Health (high-risk populations)
- Check with the unit for visitation details as they may vary by location.
Routine infection prevention requirements may be required in certain sensitive areas when visiting vulnerable patients as they were before the COVID-19 pandemic. Local care teams will inform you if these precautions are necessary for compliance with CMS and OSHA regulations for healthcare facilities. Intermountain will continue monitoring local and national health conditions and may adjust its policies accordingly. Additionally, we will always comply with federal, state, and local requirements, and when possible, attempt to align with clinical partners and peers in our geographic regions.
