Free Pre-Surgery Joint Replacement Classes

It’s natural to have questions and concerns before you have a knee, hip or shoulder replacement surgery. That’s why Intermountain Health offers a FREE class where you will learn important concepts and tips to make your surgery and recovery as smooth as possible. Classes are taught by nurses that are specialized in joint replacement surgery.

This class focuses on what you need to know about:

• Preparing for your surgery
• What to expect during your hospital stay
• What is involved in the surgery
• Preventing complications
• Managing pain
• Physical therapy expectations
• Planning for a safe recovery at home

Patients that are scheduled to have a joint replacement surgery are strongly encouraged to attend this class with their caregiver that will be helping them at home following surgery.
