Join us for the most important event for our children in over a century, as we dedicated the second campus of Primary Children's Hospital. This ceremony was a historic milestone in our Primary Promise vision to build the nation's model health system for children.

Thanks to the power of Primary Promise, the Miller Family Campus in Lehi will bring the world-class services of Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital to the fastest-growing area of Utah. Together, we’re working to ensure that top-quality children’s healthcare will be more accessible to families across the Intermountain West.

The Miller Family Campus Historic Dedication Ceremony & Ribbon-Cutting took place on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Newborn Intensive Care

Our renovated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a beautiful part of our Primary Promise to build the nation’s model health system for children. We have the only Level IV NICU in the Intermountain West, serving the most fragile newborns from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, and beyond: a 400,000-square-mile service area covering one of the largest geographies of any children’s hospital in the nation. We’re a unique NICU, with no other one like it in this region of the country.

Babies who transition out of the NICU may never know the heroic efforts made on their behalf. But their families will never forget. They will remember our NICU as a place where miracles happen – miracles made possible by the vision and compassion of our generous donors.

We're Building the Nation's Model Health System for Children

Teen-To-Adult Care Transitions

As part of our Primary Promise to build the nation’s model health system for children, the Teen-To-Adult Care Transitions program helps teens learn how to manage their own medical needs—and that’s more complicated when you have a complex medical condition. It also teaches vital skills: self-advocacy, transferring to new providers, and navigating the adult care model. Our role is to help teens make a smooth transition to adult medical care, empowering them to take charge of their own health. Our generous community will play a key part in ensuring young people with chronic conditions become adult survivors, confident to take charge of their own lives and health.

Behavioral Health

A vital part of Primary Promise is addressing the current mental health crisis among our youth. With Primary Children's Behavioral Health, we believe in the importance of getting kids to the right treatment, at the right time, in the right place. There’s often nothing more important to healing than the presence of loved ones. That’s why a critical feature of our vision is Family Centered Care, the intentional inclusion of a child’s family in their journey. Primary Promise will help ensure that young patients facing mental health challenges can access quality, lifesaving services.

Healthy Kids

We’re excited to introduce our Primary Promise Healthy Kids Program: building the nation’s model healthy system for children starts in our homes and communities. Healthy Kids includes a wide range of prevention initiatives, and we know a nurturing relationship is so important for the healthy development of infants and young children. A child’s surroundings have a powerful impact on their health and potential, and effects can be lifelong. That’s why we must reach beyond our hospital walls to help build communities that keep children healthy, happy, and safe.

Fetal Care

The Grant Scott Bonham Fetal Center is the only center of its kind within the Intermountain West and is housed at Primary Children's Hospital. We’re not only creating emotional and social support systems to improve families’ experiences, but this vital community resource has positioned Primary Children’s to become a national leader in fetal care, including complex fetal surgeries. As part of our Primary Promise to build the Nation’s Model Healthy System for Children, we can support a baby throughout their entire childhood – from before birth all the way to adulthood.

Cancer Center

At The Sorenson Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at Primary Children’s Hospital, we’re fighting to find future cures for all children. Thanks to Primary Promise, our vision to build the nation’s model health system for children, we’re able to enhance clinical care, support the child and their family in a healing environment, and fuel the discovery of new treatments and cures for children. We’re fortunate to have one of the nation’s BEST children’s hospitals and top-tier pediatric cancer centers right here at Primary Children’s, giving children access to the most advanced medical experts, technology, and treatments available, so kids can get back to just being kids.

Personalized Medicine

Thanks to Primary Promise, our vision to build the nation’s model health system for children, we’re uniquely positioned to screen, diagnose, treat, and create cures for diseases. The Center for Personalized Medicine, the first of its kind in the Intermountain West, is equipped to perform Rapid Whole Genomic Sequencing—a process for decoding a child’s entire genome in just 48 hours. Our research, population studies, and nationally recognized integrated health SYSTEM all empower us to discover and actually deliver cures to kids fighting illness right now.

Network of Care

Our Primary Promise Network of Care is keeping a child close to family and community, while providing the highest-quality care from experts at Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital. We’re creating one of the most sophisticated pediatric Virtual Hospitals in the country, serving children located anywhere across Intermountain’s growing service area. With notably improved health outcomes and lower costs to families across the Intermountain West, it’s the right thing to do. It's great care, close to home.

Second Campus

We’re building a new hospital in Utah County! Thanks to the power of Primary Promise, the Larry H. and Gail Miller Family Campus in Lehi will bring the world-class services of Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital to the fastest growing area of Utah. Together, we’re working to ensure that top-quality children’s healthcare will be more accessible to families across the Intermountain West.

Each child is a child for such a short time, and the care we provide during this period has a lifelong impact.
Every day we delay is a missed opportunity to help children.
With stakes this high, we cannot hesitate.
