Simulation training is in high demand for all clinicians, including those within Intermountain Healthcare, and as a result space in this course is limited. This educational modality is extremely effective, yet it costs more than other approaches. The need for quality facilitators who will innovate and champion simulation-based education is crucial for program support and participant success. To this point, we would like to ensure that the course is appropriate for those who have a desire to attend, and have designed a new process of application for participation.

Course Fees

Internal Participants: Intermountain Healthcare employees paid directly by Intermountain $500
Affiliated Participants: those who have a contract to provide care for patients within Intermountain $750
External Participants: All remaining participants that are not employees of or contracted with Intermountain $1250

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy

  • Full (100%) registration reimbursement for cancellation more than 14 days prior to the beginning of the activity.
  • Half (50%) registration reimbursement for cancellation between four (4) and fourteen (14) days prior to the beginning of the activity.
  • No reimbursement for cancellation three (3) days or less prior to the beginning of the activity.
Exceptions

Exceptions may be allowed only under extenuating circumstances and with approval from the Sr. CE Business Partner, IPCE Medical Director, and AVP for IPCE.  

Additional Information

You are welcome to register and pay for the course you could attend, if you are not accepted into that course, you can work with the course coordinator to be refunded or switch your registration and application to a different course or waitlist

The course fills up quickly.  To register for the next course, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Apply for course (See dates and links to apply below
  2. Register and pay for course (You will be directed to these pages after you complete application form
    • Registration is based on a first come, first serve basis.  Registration must be completed through the CME Tracker website, link is provided at end of application process
    • Please register for the course date you would prefer to enroll in (if your register for a wait list you can register and pay for additional dates that also work for your schedule.)
    • If you are not approved in time for the course date you prefer or you do not make it off the wait list, you will be given the option to either refund the course purchase, or transfer the purchase to a different course date. 
  3. After applying, registering, and paying for course, you will be informed if your direct supervisor has approved or denied application. 
  • Course limited to 21 participants. Course fee includes materials, parking, breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

 **After applying, you will receive a link to an online registration and payment portals. In order to be accepted into the course, you need to fill out the application form, register, and pay for your desired course date or waitlisting. Upon approval from your direct supervisor, regional and system simulation leadership, you will receive notification of your acceptance into the course. If you are not an Intermountain employee or are paying for the course independent of Intermountain, the manager recommendation and regional simulation coordinator signature are not required. You will be notified regarding your acceptance into the course once we have received and reviewed the forms.
