The Intermountain Medical Group welcomes Eric Sorenson, MD to Intermountain Surgical Oncology at Intermountain Medical Center.
Dr. Sorenson earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, and recently completed a surgical oncology fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was trained in general surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College, and he is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Sorenson’s training also included a three-year oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he studied tumor immunology and genomics.
Dr. Sorenson and his wife, Julia, are Utah natives. He is excited to return to his home state to care for patients with oncologic and general surgical needs. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, and he looks forward to introducing his four children to the outdoor adventures abundant in Utah.
