What can you expect during an Acupuncture session?

Learn more about what to expect from your treatment.

Depending on your treatment, sessions last about 60 minutes and follow-up appointments are about 45 minutes. People usually feel very relaxed and balanced afterward, but you may feel like you have more energy.

We treat what’s bothering you, plus any other underlying conditions that may be connected. Based on your medical history, symptoms, and perform a full body review, our acupuncturist will select the appropriate points to insert needles.

They will adjust the needles or choose other points as their goal is not to make you feel pain. You might be more sensitive in certain areas, but it shouldn’t hurt. If you feel pain, tell your acupuncturist.

To begin the session, you will lay down or sit on a table. The room lights may be dimmed and there is quiet music to help you relax. The acupuncturist will check on you multiple times throughout your session to make sure you’re comfortable.
