The Thoracic ICU (TICU) is a 24-bed unit that serves diverse patient populations, including post-operative cases like open-heart surgeries, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), valve replacements, complex vascular surgeries, and heart transplants. The unit's nurses are proficient in managing mechanical support devices such as ECMO, Impella, LVAD, RVAD, IABP, CRRT, and artificial hearts.
The Coronary ICU (CICU) is a 24-bed unit that specializes in the care of medically managed cardiac patients. Specifically, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, STEMI (ST elevated MI), rule out MI, Heart failure, Pulmonary Hypertension/BPA (balloon pulmonary angioplasty), TAVR (transfemoral aortic valve replacement) and unstable post cardiac Cath lab PCI patients (percutaneous coronary interventions). We manage several advanced therapies such as SWANs, CRRT, Impella, LVADs, IABPs and ventilators.
The Shock Trauma ICU (STICU) is a 24-bed unit that specializes in caring for severely injured trauma patients, new Liver transplant recipients, respiratory failure, as well as other medical and surgical critically ill patients, that require active resuscitation and treatment.
The Neurocritical Care Unit (NCCU) is a 24-bed ICU that specializes in the treatment and care of complex neurological patients affected by ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, and seizure. They treat neurologic diseases such as Guillain-Barre syndrome and myasthenia gravis. The NCCU also provides intensive care for patients after brain and spinal surgery.
