Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation are medically supervised outpatient programs designed for individuals who have experienced a major cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack or heart failure, or who have chronic breathing difficulty such as COPD, Pulmonary Hypertension, and other illnesses.
These programs focus on a combination of education and exercise to help patients become more physically active, independent, and self-reliant. A physician referral is required for Lutheran’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.
Lutheran Hospital’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (ACVPR).
