Pelvic Floor Health Course
Improve your overall pelvic floor function and health with our live, online Pilates pelvic health course.
We’ve partnered with Intermountain Healthcare pelvic floor physical therapists to create this four-week course that will teach you proper breathing techniques and exercises designed to increase your pelvic floor muscle efficiency and help you gain greater awareness of your body and its functions related to the pelvic floor.
This course begins at the start of every month and builds upon the lessons you’re taught in each class. All classes are led by an Intermountain Healthcare certified Pilates instructor who will give you individual feedback during the online classes.
Many class times are available each week and recordings will be available for missed classes.
Understanding pelvic floor dysfunction
The pelvic floor is a set of muscles that stabilizes posture during activity, supports bladder and bowel function, and plays an essential role in sexual activity. The pelvic floor muscles sit at the bottom of the pelvic and interact with your diaphragm, hips, lower back, and abdominal muscles.
Common conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction include: -
- Pelvic pain, pelvic prolapse, or post-surgical pelvic pain
- Abdominal, hip, or groin pain
- Pregnancy and post-natal
- Pain during sexual intercourse
- Lower back pain
- Endometriosis pain
- Cancer-related dysfunction
- Pubic pain
- Bowel and bladder complications like urinary incontinence, constipation, or fecal incontinence
- Adhesions or scar tissue
- Diastasis recti
- Sciatica and sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction

Small group classes for participants of all levels.
These 55-minute classes offer you a full-body workout composed of strengthening and flexibility through all ranges of motion. Balance and coordination will be challenged within your capacity. Our instructors offer modifications for each exercise to make it possible for you, and all members of your class, to be challenged without pushing you beyond your personal limitations.
You and the other class participants will work out on your own reformer so you can adjust resistance, speed, and body position individually.
Class schedules may change month to month. There are specific classes that focus on Pilates for arthritis.
Classes are held:
- Mondays & Wednesdays
- Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Friday classes are offered as a third day a week. Registration for Friday classes requires enrollment in either M/W or T/Th classes.

Live Online Classes
Get your Pilates workout in with your class anywhere you are.
Registering for a month of live, online Pilates classes will give you unlimited access to our online classes—each guided by one of our instructors. We use Microsoft Teams for online classes. Live classes do not require the use of a reformer.
