Primary Children’s Hospital, a leader in pediatric organ transplantation, offers comprehensive evaluation and care to patients who may need an organ transplant. We focus our efforts on "The Child First and Always" in a family-centered care environment.
The Transplant Program at Primary Children's Hospital is a collaborative effort with the University of Utah Transplant Program. Our transplant teams provide excellent care and facilitate support throughout the entire transplantation process. We provide comprehensive transplant care for heart, kidney, liver (full and split), and bone marrow transplants.

The news that your child needs a transplant can be extremely challenging. Our dedicated teams will provide your child the best pediatric medical care available and help you navigate and understand the complex transplant process. Your team includes medical physicians, pediatric transplant surgeons, nurse practitioners, nurse coordinators, clinical nurse specialists, social workers, pharmacists, dietitians, and child life specialists. Primary Children's Hospital is nationally-ranked as a top children's hospital by U.S. News & World Report in nine specialties including nephrology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, cardiology and heart surgery, and cancer. We have participated in the HRSA National Collaborative on Organ Donation and Transplantation and received the Medal of Honor each year it has been awarded for >75% donation rate of eligible donors.
