Outpatient treatment for opioid use disorder
COMPASS is a government-funded program to help patients with opioid use disorder get the treatment they need. COMPASS providers can prescribe medications to manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
COMPASS offers regular telehealth visits with a mental health provider and access to a peer recovery specialist. Patients in the COMPASS program also have access to social work resources.
How much does it cost?
The federal government financially supports this program. This means that if you do not have health insurance or have limited insurance benefits, the COMPASS program can pay for your addiction medication. The program will also pay for all of your telehealth visits with the COMPASS provider. If you have insurance, we will bill your insurance as usual.
If you lack safe housing or face food insecurity, you may have a more difficult time managing your substance abuse disorder. We can help you connect with other resources in the community that offer food, housing, clothing, job training, and education assistance.
There is no cost for using a peer recovery coach. These services are covered 100% by the program. The intent of the COMPASS program is to make treatment affordable and accessible to every patient who needs help.
