We are currently working on the following studies to better understand coronary artery disease:

  • Progene (INSPIRE sub-study)

The purpose of this research study is to identify genes that protect against heart disease, including the development of coronary artery disease and heart attacks. The ultimate goal of this study is to use information obtained about genetic influence on heart disease to improve the treatment and care of our patients.

  • The Smart Phone Twelve Lead Electrocardiogram Utility in ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (ST LEUIS)

This study will determine if the Smart Phone ECG is an acceptable replacement for a standard ECG in the identification of STEMI heart attacks.

  • SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) Research Group

This partnership between clinicians and researchers will build a SCAD registry to track patient characteristics, genetic information and clinical outcomes for patients with this rare and challenging diagnosis. The goal of the registry is to work with other centers with an interest in this condition and establish clear treatment guidelines.
