Our research

Our research has led to:

  • The discovery of a cure for Hepatitis C (Hep C)
  • Transplanting a Hep C positive liver into a person for the first time in the U.S. without giving them the virus
  • Doing a heart and liver transplant in the same adult at the same time for the first time in the Intermountain West
  • Setting up the first living donor liver transplant program in the Intermountain West
