Gynecologic Surgery

Gynecologic surgery, including hysterectomy or hysteroscopy, may be required to examine or treat conditions in the female reproductive system. A hysteroscopy uses a scope, or small camera, to determine causes of bleeding or pain in the uterus. A total or partial hysterectomy removes the uterus, usually due to pain, fibroids, bleeding, or cancer.
