Our Survey

Intermountain Healthcare and SelectHealth believe that engaging patients in their own care leads to the best clinical results and the highest possible satisfaction. Being able to see objective patient feedback about doctors and other clinicians can help people choose the caregiver that’s right for them.

The patient experience data used in this survey were collected by phone by a third-party, to ensure objectivity and remove any possible bias.  All patients’ comments and responses are anonymous to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

We use questions from the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Survey (CG CAHPS) designed to attribute actual patient experiences to an individual doctor.  Survey responses are then converted to star ratings to make them highly visual and easy to understand.  These ratings are published for each doctor once he or she has a minimum of 30 completed surveys.

Do we post all comments?

We post all comments, verbatim, both positive and negative, as long as they aren’t deemed to be libelous, don’t contain profane or vulgar language and don’t compromise patient privacy.
