    Refuel

    A poor diet has been associated with a myriad of health and wellness diseases like, heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and many more. A healthy diet contains essential nutrients and energy necessary to prevent nutritional deficiencies and excesses in order to promote good health and support active lives. In addition, a healthy diet should consist of an appropriate balance of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, meaning you cannot eat only bacon for every meal. So, dump some of the high fat and sodium foods for a tasty chicken option as a starting point.

    Regenerate

    Regularly participating in physical activities including some level of exercise have great positive impact on the body and your mental health. Some of these benefits include, increased muscle strength, better function and structure of your ligaments and tendons, improved sleep patterns, and can even help you age better. Depending on your exercise goals you can find a number of different plans across the internet, but just remember each week you should focus on three main things:

    • Cardiovascular activity
    • Muscular strength and endurance
    • Flexibility

    Relax

    We all want it, but rarely take time to kick back. Stress alone doesn’t endanger our health. Without stress, we would never feel challenged to tap our best resources. The stress which stimulates our most effective creative action is referred to eustress. Eustress is mostly health-enhancing and can be seen as the source of much achievement and satisfaction. The dangerous type of stress is distress. Learning to manage and cope with this type of stress can be challenging, but not unattainable.

    We all understand the value of a good night’s sleep. Like eating, sleep is vitally important for maintaining good health. However, the amount of sleep we get at night seems to get smaller and smaller as other pressing issues demand more time.
