Utah Jazz Center Derrick Favors recently sprained his ankle in the final minutes of the game against the Miami Heat.
Ankle sprains are the most common injury suffered by professional athletes, especially basketball players. While Favors’ sprain only benched him for about a week, other more serious sprains could take several weeks or more to heal. Luckily Favors’ will be ready to play again following some minor physical therapy intended to strengthen the tendons in his ankle and recover range of motion.
