Jeffrey (Jeff) T Chapman MD

Jeff was born and raised in the suburbs of Phoenix, AZ. After high school he spent two years in Honduras, followed by undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University where he earned a B.S. in Neuroscience. He then moved out to Dallas, Texas, where he attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern. After his intern year at Intermountain, he will continue his residency in anesthesiology at the University of California, San Diego. In his free time Jeff enjoys playing pickleball and volleyball, and spending time with his wife and little girl.

Cody Cowley MD

Cody was born and raised in Midway, Utah and loves returning home to enjoy the great outdoors. Prior to attending college, Cody worked as a professional parking lot painter across the Mountain West. He completed his B.S. in Chemistry at Utah Valley University before moving to Austin, Texas to complete his medical degree at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. In his free time, Cody loves anything outdoors – skiing, biking, and hiking with his wife and dog are favorites. After completing his intern year, Cody will continue his training in Diagnostic Radiology at Duke University.

AnnaLeah L Eliason MD

AnnaLeah grew up in St. Louis, Missouri but has called Utah home since 2010, with stints in the Netherlands and Hong Kong. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at Brigham Young University, she received her medical degree from the University of Utah. During medical school, she founded the Utah Medical Orchestra, which gave her the opportunity to combine her interests in music and medicine to provide a creative outlet for members of the local healthcare community. AnnaLeah loves playing the piano and violin, reading, exploring Utah’s mountains, and trying new recipes with her husband. She will continue her training at the University of Utah in Anesthesiology.

Tanner Harding MD

Tanner both grew up and attended college in Pocatello, Idaho, graduating with a degree in Biology from Idaho State University. After working for two years at a local dermatology clinic, he relocated to Orlando to pursue his medical education at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. In his free time, Tanner enjoys tennis, pickleball, camping, audiobooks, and spending time with his family and friends. After completing his intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, he will complete his residency in Dermatology at the University of Central Florida.

Laura W Hayes MD

Laura was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Bioethical Anthropology. She worked several years as a professional ski patroller in the Lake Tahoe region prior to beginning medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She loves all things outdoors, including hiking, cycling, and skiing, and is excited to return to the mountain west for residency. After completing intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, she will continue her training in anesthesiology at the University of Utah.

Nathanael (Nathan) C Jensen MD

Nathan grew up in Ohio and Okinawa, Japan and went on to complete his undergraduate education in Neuroscience at Brigham Young University and medical school at the University of Utah. During this time, he worked on various research projects in the field of dermatology, including ethics education for dermatologists as well as improving current skin cancer treatments to become simpler and more cost-effective. In his free time, Nathan enjoys playing on softball teams, watching a good movie, cheering for BYU football, skiing, and spending time with his wife and 4 kids. He will be continuing his training at the University of Utah in Dermatology.

Christine M Johnstad MD

Christine grew up in northern Wisconsin and loves all things outdoors and is an avid type 2 fun seeker. Christine completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked as a nurse in the post-operative cardiac surgery unit and later the medical ICU for 4 years prior to beginning medical school. She received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin. In her free time, Christine enjoys exploring new plant-based recipes, trail running and mountain biking with her dog Otis, and skiing. After completing her internship at Intermountain Medical Center, Christine will continue her training in Radiology at the University of Colorado.

John Patrick grew up in Naperville, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, and he was always passionate about moving to the mountains out West. He completed both his undergraduate education in Biomedical Engineering and medical school training at Northwestern University. In his free time, he enjoys downhill skiing, running, watersports, and grilling. After completing his intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, John Patrick will continue his training in Anesthesiology at Northwestern University.

Kaden grew up in Heber City, UT and graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah. In his free time, Kaden enjoys mountain/road/gravel biking, running, and spending time with his wife and sons. Kaden will continue his medical training in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Taylie Sargent MD

Taylie was born and initially raised in Laguna Hills, California before moving to Munich, Germany then London, England with her family. She completed her undergraduate degree in behavioral neuroscience at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts prior to moving back west to attend medical school at the University of Utah. In her spare time, Taylie enjoys traveling, being in the mountains, playing with her dogs, exercising, and working on new crochet projects. Following the completion of her intern year at IMC, she will continue her training at the University of Utah in Anesthesiology.

Breanna P Stafford MD

Bre grew up in rural Eastern Colorado with a graduating class of 17 students. She went on to get her B.S. in Biomedical Science at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs before attending CUSOM for medical school. Bre is a first-generation college graduate who enjoys mentoring students in her community, serving under-resourced populations, and engaging in global health initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys volleyball, hiking, gardening, weightlifting, board games, and spending time with friends and family. Following her intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, she will continue her training in anesthesiology at the University of Utah Health.

Jesse N Steadman MD

Jesse Steadman was born and raised in Tooele, UT. He completed his undergraduate degree in Human Biology at Utah State University where he was named the College of Science valedictorian for his graduating class. He then moved to Salt Lake City where he completed medical school at the University of Utah. Outside of medicine, Jesse loves spending time with his wife and friends, off road recreation, traveling, video games, and exercising inside the gym or outside on trails. Following his intern year, Jesse will continue his training in diagnostic radiology at the Mayo Clinic – Rochester.
