Bryan Bishop, MD

Bryan grew up in Delta, Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University in biophysics before attending medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He has also lived in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina and looks forward to visiting those countries again in the future. In his free time, Bryan can usually be found on a tennis court, perusing a bookstore, or relaxing with a good sci-fi/fantasy novel. He will continue his training at the University of Utah in diagnostic radiology.

Linnea Dixson, MD

Linnea grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and attended the University of Wyoming, where she graduated with a B.S. in Human Physiology. After graduating, she worked at a rural pediatric practice for two years before attending medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Linnea enjoys mountain biking, skiing, running, and baking. She will continue her training at the University of Utah in Anesthesiology.

Nicholas Gravbrot, MD

Nick was born and raised in Yakima, Washington, before moving to Phoenix, Arizona, to complete his undergraduate studies in biology at Grand Canyon University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, where he received the Robert F. Crawford, MD, Scholastic Achievement Award for academic excellence. Nick is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He has published several peer-reviewed articles addressing various oncologic and neuroscience topics, with emphases on glioblastoma, immune checkpoint inhibitors, and functional neurosurgery/radiosurgery. In his free time, Nick enjoys hiking, golfing, basketball, and board/card games.

Darren Kempton, MD

Darren grew up in a small town in southeast Arizona. He completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Arizona State University and then went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University. He worked as a physical therapist for six years prior to beginning medical school at the University of Arizona in Tucson. In his free time he enjoys mountain biking, woodworking, hiking, travelling and spending time with his wife and 5 children.

Flora Liu, MD

Flora earned her medical degree from University of Vermont. During medical school, she was in student leadership dedicated to medical education and curriculum building. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado College majoring in both Dance and Molecular Biology. In her spare time, she enjoys mountain biking, skiing, dancing, and cooking. Flora will continue her training in anesthesiology at University of Utah Health.

Claire Lu, MD

Claire grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, before completing her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Utah. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). During medical school, her favorite volunteer activity was being a leader for the HIV PrEP Clinic. Following her intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, she will continue her training at the University of Utah in anesthesiology. In her spare time, Claire enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, DIY home improvement projects, and collecting house plants.

Bianca Rich, MD

Bianca is a native of Utah who completed her undergrad at the University of Utah and then went on to medical school at the same institution. Throughout her education, she has been involved in variety of both basic science and clinical research pursuits, and graduated medical school with a designation in personalized medicine and genetics. In her spare time, you can find Bianca cycling, running or climbing. Following her intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, Bianca will continue her training at the University of Utah in Anesthesiology.

Caroline Savoie, MD

Caroline is a Louisiana native, who received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. During medical school, Caroline was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), awarded the Capital Area Medical Society Scholarship, and published in JAAD. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, teaching yoglates, and cooking. Following her intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, Caroline will continue her training in dermatology at Louisiana State University.

Jessica Stauber, MD

Jessica is a California-born, Texas-raised graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch where she received her MD. Before deciding to pursue medical school, Jessica worked as a registered nurse in the neonatal ICU after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University. She fosters a strong passion for global and community health and has actively participated in multiple health and research initiatives in Haiti, Mexico, and Peru. At the community level, she has worked with organizations addressing food insecurity, health promotion and education, equitable mobilization of community health resources, and medical humanism. After her PGY-1 year, Jessica will enter the Radiation Oncology Residency Program at the University of Utah where she hopes to focus her research efforts on integrative oncology and broadening access to comprehensive cancer care, both locally and globally. Jessica enjoys a broad range of active hobbies, particularly ones that take her outdoors, and recently became a certified yoga instructor. She hopes to become better at snowboarding during her years living in Utah!

Ty Tietjen, MD

Ty grew up in Oregon and Alaska and loves the outdoors. He completed a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Brigham Young University while working in mining and construction. Before applying to medical school, Ty worked as an analytical chemist in Anchorage, ensuring safe environmental practices around the state. He received his medical degree from the University of Washington. Ty loves mountain biking, fishing, trail running, and camping with wife and two daughters. He will continue his training in anesthesia at the University of Utah.

Maegan Tupinio, MD

Maegan grew up in Wahiawa, Hawaii but completed both her undergraduate and medical school degrees at Pennsylvania State University. She has been involved in multiple volunteer and extracurricular activities during her time in medical school. Prior to medical school she played D1 softball for Penn State University primarily as an outfielder. She has strong interests in global health and underserved medicine. As a member of the Global Health Scholars Program, Maegan spent a month in Tokyo, Japan learning about Japan’s healthcare infrastructure and medical school curriculum. Outside of work, Maegan enjoys hanging out with friends, trying new restaurants, hiking, camping, snowboarding, and surfing.

Tyler Walburn, MD

Tyler grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He went to medical school at the University of North Carolina before joining the IMC Transitional Year. He enjoys powerlifting, hiking, cooking, and meditating. Following the transitional year, Tyler will begin radiation oncology residency.

Isah Webb, MD

Originally from Woodinville, Washington, Isah completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Seattle where he studied neurobiology. He attended medical school at Boston University where his interests included radiology education and exploring the outdoors of New England. He enjoys hiking, botany, and spending time in the mountains. He will be completing residency in diagnostic radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
