Bunker D

David Bunker

David grew up in a small town in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska for both undergraduate and medical school. Throughout his education, he has been involved in numerous volunteer and leadership positions and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. In his spare time, you can find David running, cycling, hunting, or fishing. Following his intern year at Intermountain Medical Center, David will continue his training at the University of Utah in diagnostic radiology.
Dangerfield J

Jacob Dangerfield

Jacob grew up in Springville, Utah, before attending Brigham Young University (BYU) as an undergraduate student where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. During this time, he also took a two-year mission trip to Málaga, Spain, and remains fluent in Spanish. After graduating at BYU, he attended medical school at McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. Jacob enjoys spending time in the mountains, playing sports, listening to podcasts, and playing with his dog.
Feng D

Daisy Feng MD, PhD

Daisy received her MD and PhD from Nanjing University. She was awarded several scholarships for academic excellence during medical school. She has a wide range of research and volunteer experience. She has published several peer-review articles. She is also a member of American Society of Anesthesiology. Daisy enjoys hiking and traveling during her spare time.
Fullenkamp A

Austin Fullenkamp, MD

Austin earned his medical degree from University of Southern California with an emphasis in Health, Technology and Engineering. Prior to medical school, he completed his undergraduate degree at University of California, Santa Barbara earning the Robert L. Sinsheimer Award for highest performance in the Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology Department. Austin is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. He has completed research projects in surgical robotics, technological device development, and radiology, resulting in abstracts and poster presentations, eventually receiving a grant for his work. In addition to medicine, Austin enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, visiting national parks and cooking.
Glenn T

Taylor Glenn, MD

Taylor completed her undergraduate studies at Elon University in North Carolina prior to receiving her medical degree from Medical College of Georgia. She is a member of the Health Professions Scholarship Program and will serve as an active-duty officer in the United States Air Force following residency. Taylor is the oldest of five children, all raised together in Atlanta, Georgia. She enjoys running, skiing, and exploring the outdoors during her free time.
Gren S

Steve Gren, MD

Steve is a native of Utah who completed his undergrad at the University of Utah and then went on to medical school at the same institution. Halfway through medical school, he took time out to get a master’s degree at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where he met his fiancée. In addition to hiking and skiing, he has come to enjoy a good cup of tea (with milk, of course) and the Great British Baking Show.
Huffaker T

Thomas Huffaker MD, PHD

Thomas hails from rural Southeast Idaho where he attended Idaho State University prior to joining the MD/PhD program at the University of Utah. His doctoral studies focused on the mechanisms through which the immune system regulates solid tumor growth. He is excited to continue his career as a dermatologist with a focus on how to better utilize the immune system to fight melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. He enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, skiing, riding bikes, hiking, and camping in the great outdoors of Utah.

Sean Huls MD

Sean received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He received the Stabenau Award for demonstrating scholarly activity and showing promise for a career in academic medicine. Sean enjoys golfing and fishing when he has the time.
Klapthor G

Gibson Klapthor, MD

Gibson is a native of South Carolina. He completed his undergraduate studies at Furman University where he played football and rugby. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina where he received a merit scholarship and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He enjoys playing sports and spending time outdoors. Gibson will continue his training in diagnostic radiology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Shields B

Bradley D. Shields MD, PhD

Bradley received medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences after completing undergraduate studies at Harding University. He performed his doctoral work on immune mechanisms of response and resistance to checkpoint inhibitors in melanoma. Bradley is a member of AOA, and a recipient of the Roberts Key and Barton Scholarship. He received the Scholar-in-Training Award for Melanoma Research from the American Association for Cancer Research in 2018. Bradley enjoys sports, old books, power tools, and exploring the great outdoors with his wife, Paige.
Smith A

Austin Smith, MD

Austin grew up in Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University in exercise science. He went to medical school at UT Health San Antonio where he was a member of AOA. Austin has been published in JAAD and Cutis. Austin’s hobbies are hiking, golf, and movies. He will be completing his residency in Dermatology in Denver, Colorado.
Thomsen J

Jared Thomsen, MD

Jared is from Omaha, Nebraska, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska and his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). During his time in medical school, Jared received several merit-based scholarships and took part in various research projects. He also spent time working with organizations mentoring younger students interested in health professions. In his free time, Jared enjoys cooking and Netflix binges.
Winchester Z

Zachary Winchester, MD

Zach received his medical degree from Georgetown University after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and received several awards during medical school. He has one published peer-reviewed journal article and several poster/oral presentations. Zach enjoys playing music, hiking, and hitting the links in his spare time.
