About our program
St. George Regional Hospital's PGY1 pharmacy residency program builds on doctor of pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, becoming eligible for board certification and PGY2 pharmacy residency training.
The PGY1 pharmacy residency at St. George Regional Hospital was created in 2020 and is an ASHP-accredited program that expands upon the services provided throughout Intermountain Health's other PGY1 sites. It maintains the same standards and program requirements with some adaptation as needed due to location. Opportunities to complete learning experiences at other Intermountain residency sites will be available, based on resident interest and rotation availability.
