Simply Birth

Available Online & In-Person

This class is an informational meeting about the Simply Birth Program for those that are seeking a low-intervention and unmedicated birthing experience, along with a personalized education plan and guidance for your birth plan. The Simply Birth Program, offers the best of both worlds for families seeking the freedom and comfort of a home birth while ensuring that medical support is readily available. This class is for the expecting applicant and for 1 additional labor support person but only the expecting applicant should apply and register.

In this class, we will cover:

  • Orientation to the Simply Birth program
  • Application process
  • Required childbirth education
  • Early discharge options

Watch the Simply Birth video to learn more.

How to apply and register for the program and class:

  1. Please register for a class session at the hospital where you will deliver your baby by clicking on the see available button.
  2.  Once you have selected a class, you can also fill out the Simply Birth application.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email once you have completed the application questions and registration process.

All Simply Birth applicants must take an in-person "Introduction to Simply Birth" class. Patients who have not had an unmediated birth are required to take a "Low Intervention" class.

In case of bad weather: Please double check your email several hours before coming to the hospital for any in-person class or classes. In the event of a winter season severe weather alert and/or with an instructor’s extenuating circumstances on the day a class is to be held, a live virtual class link will potentially be emailed in place of an in-person class meeting at the hospital.

Clarifications: Most in-person classes will still be held in-person with an average snowfall. Presently, participants joining virtually with an in-person class is not an option. Assume an in-person class will remain in-person if you have not received notification an hour before the class start time.

Please note: The course information should not replace any information you receive from your Healthcare Provider. Call your Healthcare Provider if you have any questions about your pregnancy and upcoming birth.
