Summit County Mobile Testing

Mobile Unit for COVID-19 Testing

This week Intermountain is beginning mobile COVID-19 testing in Summit County. This helps increase access for underserved populations and while maintaining the stay home, stay safe percentage. The mobile unit will also be used in hotspot areas of increased COVID-19 positive tests and where increased testing is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is everyone who lives in Aspen Villas, Iron Horse, and other apartments in the area encouraged to go take the test? Even if asymptomatic?

Everyone who lives within a 2-mile radius of the hotspot locations qualifies for testing as part of the high-risk population. Even those who are asymptomatic.

How long does the test take?

If you have been prescreened at the COVID-19 Hotline, 844.442.5224, the actual test takes about 5 minutes. If you are a walk-in patient who still needs the screening the entire process takes closer to 15 minutes.

Should I take my kids?

Yes! We want EVERYONE in the hotspot locations to be tested. The ONLY exception is that patients under 2 years MUST be evaluated by a physician directly and cannot be tested at our curbside, drive thru, or mobile testing sites. Please consult with your primary care provider or pediatrician to test those younger than 2 years.

Do I need to bring ID or any other information?

If you have been screened you will be asked for first and last Name and date of birth to continue with the testing.

If you have not prescreened or registered prior to arrival, you will be asked to provide basic registration information (Name, DOB, Address, Phone number for results, Insurance if you have it, SSN if you have it).

If I don’t have insurance will I still be able to have the COVID-19 test?

The COVID-19 test is FREE and you will still be able to have the prescreening and COVID-19 test without insurance

What if I can’t provide a Social Security Number?

Lack of a social security number will not keep you from being tested.

Why do you need my address?

Providing your address ensures you part of the high-risk population and live in one of the hotspot locations. This ensures you are noted as a high-risk candidate for testing.
