Personal Bio & Interests
I grew up in Ogden, Utah. I attended Weber State University and medical school at the George Washington University. I completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency program at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Following residency, I was accepted into the Spine Surgery Fellowship Program at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
I am one of the few spine surgeons in Utah trained by an ACGME accredited spine surgery program. During my Fellowship, I trained with international leaders in the field of spine surgery, gaining expertise in complex spine reconstruction surgery and the treatment of spinal deformity, cervical and lumbar degenerative disease, trauma, and tumors affecting all areas of the spine. I have written several book chapters on the treatment of spine diseases.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 children. I love the mountains of Utah and all the opportunities they provide: mountain biking, kayaking, and skiing to name just a few.
