Bio

  • I have authored many journal articles and textbook chapters on a wide variety of topics in sports medicine. My research interests lie in the areas of physical activity assessment and promotion, practice based research in primary care, the Female Athlete Triad, and sports injury prevention. \n\nWhen not seeing patients, I work at my treadmill desk, walking 1.2 miles per hours while working. It provides me the opportunity to walk upwards of 5 miles per day! In addition, I love to hike, ski and ride my bike with friends and family. My husband Jim is also a sports medicine physician, and we have 2 kids ages and a 60 lb chocolate lab who thinks she is a cat.
