Visitor information and visiting hours
Visiting a patient at Intermountain
Family and friends play an important role in healing and recovery. Whether you're visiting a loved one in the hospital, accompanying a patient to an appointment, or preparing for a stay, Intermountain Health welcomes visitors while maintaining a safe environment for patients, caregivers, and guests.
General visitation hours
Most hospital visitation hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Clinic visitation is generally available during business hours seven days per week. Visitor limits may vary based on patient needs, available space, and unit requirements.
Visitor age requirements
Visitors of most ages are welcome throughout our facilities. Certain specialized care areas may have age restrictions to protect vulnerable patients.
Masking and illness guidance
Masks are optional in many Intermountain Health facilities. Visitors who are feeling unwell are encouraged to wear a mask and should avoid visiting patients unless they are seeking care themselves. Some patient care areas may continue to require masks based on patient vulnerability or infection prevention needs.
