Welcome
The Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the programs and services of Platte Valley Medical Center. For over 30 years, charitable contributions have helped us add new technology, bring new services to our community and greatly enhance the comfort and care of the patients and families we serve.
Your philanthropic support of our locally owned and governed non-profit hospital will help us stay on the forefront of technology and provide full access and emergency care for those who live and work in our community.
Through your generosity, the Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation will continue to support the highest level of compassionate care and technology for our community.
We invite you to join us in pursuing our mission of support for Platte Valley Medical Center. Your gift will help us change lives and make a positive difference in the healthcare services that are available for our community.
Sincerely,
Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation
Board of Directors
Who We Are
Platte Valley Medical Center is a reflection of the energy and pioneering spirit of a passionate community. This community rallied together in 1958, formed an army of local residents, and went door to door to raise funds for the construction of a new hospital. In 1960, we became the first private general medical-surgical hospital in Adams and Southern Weld Counties.
Today, Platte Valley Medical Center remains the cornerstone of improving the health and wellness of the community. PVMC is also one of the only community-owned hospitals in the metro area, which means it is not owned or operated by a healthcare system but governed by a community board where decisions are made at a local level.
As a result, the Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation has identified opportunities to expand healthcare services to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. To realize this vision, the Foundation Board invites you to invest in this new horizon of healthcare at Platte Valley Medical Center.
Annual Report
As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with immense gratitude for the generosity, support and kindness during a year filled with significant challenges. Through it all the staff at Platte Valley stayed resilient due to the outpouring of love and support from people like YOU.
On behalf of the entire staff at Platte Valley Medical Center, we are grateful and humbled by the fact that the community overwhelmingly came together to support one another and to support Platte Valley.
Support came from schools, businesses, churches, community groups, restaurants, youth groups and many more. Donors and volunteers helped feed and lift up our staff through our meals for associates fund and associate support fund – both were greatly appreciated by all of our staff. Our local Home Depot even donated potted pansies for our staff on Easter!
Platte Valley received many heartfelt cards, posters, emails, letters and messages that were proudly displayed so our staff could see them every day and know how much they are appreciated and thought about. All of these acts of kindness and generosity sustained and inspired our staff during an unprecedented year.
One very special celebration in a year of so many challenges was Platte Valley’s 60th Anniversary of caring for our community and working together. Learn more by reading our 2020 Annual Report.
